When a customer makes a warranty claim, the original invoice can

for as many years as is required. You can find the original invoice
by customer name, invoice number, inventory item number or serial
number. Once the invoice is found, it can be reprinted if necessary.

search through a lot of records to find the sales invoice, or have
an extensive manual tracking system that is time consuming and expensive
to maintain.
Customer Vehicle Information
Not only can the Windward System Five track all the work done for
a given customer, the actual vehicle can also be recorded on the
invoice, allowing a complete repair history for one vehicle within
a fleet of vehicles. If the customer drives onto the lot, you can
find the customer name by searching for the vehicle number or plate
number. In addition to just tracking the vehicle, the system will

Track Labour and Mechanics
When labour is added to an invoice, you can specify the mechanic
that performed the work, the number of hours worked, and the number
of hours (or mins) billed. Often, the time spent and the time billed
might be different, and by gathering this information, you will
be able to produce mechanic productivity reports.
Parts and Service
Work Orders are used for work in progress. This can include repairs,
but can also include sales where extra work is required before the
item is delivered to the customer such as adding on extra accessories.
The inventory is marked as allocated so that it cannot be sold to
someone else, but the invoice is not posted to the general ledger
until the actual sale is complete. |

Calculate salesperson's commissions in a very detailed fashion.
The commission rate can be based on the sales margin. The more money
that was made, the higher the salesperson's commission rate will
be. Even if you don't pay the sale people commissions, the information
given by the salesman analysis report will be invaluable for running
your business.
Streamlined Estimates
For simplicity, estimates are entered in exactly the same way as
regular invoices and work orders. This reduces the learning time
for staff using the system. While an estimate looks very similar
to an invoice or work order, it will not effect inventory on hand,
customer balances, or any general ledger account.
Supplier's Parts Support
Don't clutter your inventory system with hundreds of thousands of
parts you don't use or need.
If the supplier or manufacturer has given you a disk with a list
of part numbers, descriptions, cost prices and suggested list price,
this information can be added into our auxiliary database and be
available for you to search at all times. If you are searching for
a part and it's not in your stock, but is found in the auxiliary
database, you can quickly "drag" it over and add it to
your system without having to retype all the information.
